I develop products—real
solutions to real problems.
I focus on software and music; read on to see what I've done.
I aspire to the following ideal:
"Use only that which works, and take it from any place you can find it."
— Bruce Lee
My ultimate goal is to make the world more beautiful.

PORTFOLIO
Nightfall is my second album, produced during my time in New York City. It's about uncertainties and endings in life and society. I wrote these 7 songs while transitioning from graduate school to full-time employment, 2015-2017.
My thesis focuses on convolutional neural networks (CNNs). I use CNN-based models to explain human perceptual phenomena in a biologically plausible way. I was mentored by Dr. Gemma Roig and supervised by Professor Tomaso Poggio.
MicroChain is a web application for philanthropic microlending. It uses Ethereum's blockchain to create an inalterable activity history, facilitating trust and fraud detection. We developed it for Professor Ron Rivest's Network and Computer Security class at MIT.
The Wind and the Tide is my first album. It tells stories from my time as an undergraduate at MIT. I composed all 7 songs in 2012-2014. I performed the whole album, including piano, guitar, and vocals, to produce this studio recording in 2015.
Days of the Summer was inspired by my time in Fairfield, CT during the summer of 2014. I composed it as a senior at MIT, for the Harmony and Counterpoint II class. The piece uses approaches from Western Classical music.
Journey is a web application for fitness tracking. Users can define activities, set goals, view progress graphs, and gain achievements. Austin, Keanu, and I developed this for MIT's 6.470 Web Programming Competition in early 2014. Best on Mozilla Firefox.
